Darlene S. Dunn, PHD, MSHSA, ANP-C

 

Dr. Darlene Dunn is a board-certified Adult Nurse Practitioner with more than 35 years of experience providing comprehensive patient care in primary care, women’s health, mental health, urgent care, and cosmetic medicine. She holds a Doctorate in Psychology in addition to advanced nursing credentials, bringing a uniquely holistic approach to patient wellness that emphasizes both physical and emotional health.

Throughout her career, Dr. Dunn has served in a wide range of clinical and leadership roles, including owning and operating a successful medical practice in North Carolina for many years before relocating to Alaska in 2011. Since then, she has provided healthcare services throughout remote and underserved Alaskan communities, caring for patients across the lifespan in both outpatient and emergency settings.

Dr. Dunn has extensive experience in adult primary care, chronic disease management, women’s health, behavioral health, and preventative medicine. Her background also includes work in neurology, cardiology, pulmonary care, and sleep-related health concerns, making her a valuable addition to our multidisciplinary team serving patients throughout Wasilla, Anchorage, Soldotna, and Fairbanks.

Passionate about patient advocacy and education, Dr. Dunn is dedicated to helping individuals improve their overall health, confidence, and quality of life. She believes strongly in compassionate, patient-centered care and values building meaningful relationships with those she serves.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Dunn enjoys kayaking, reading Alaskan literature and mystery novels, and spending time with her rescue animals. She is proud to call Alaska home and deeply appreciates the culture, communities, and natural beauty of the state.
